Sometimes you find yourself face-to-face with situations so horrifically bad that you can't help but smile. It's like your brain tries to process the sheer extent of destruction and just throws its hands up, opting for a weak, desperate giggle as a coping strategy.

But then, you remember that it's not really funny. It's just plain bad. And the laughter you were experiencing morphs into a sigh.

After all is said and done, you are left with a sense of utter perplexity. You question about the purpose of it all. Was this some kind of twisted art experiment?

Or were we just living in a simulation gone wrong?

Worst Day Ever

It all started with a case of uncontrollable hair. I couldn't make it to look decent. As I was running out the door, I stumbled and landed all over myself. To make matters worse, I was extremely behind schedule for a very important appointment.

A series/chain/cascade of unfortunate/awful/disastrous events unfolded/occurred/piled on top each other, leaving me feeling like I was in a nightmare/horror movie/comedy of errors. It's the kind of situation where you just want to throw your hands up.
